“ This place is a paradise. An extension of the museum, kind of its own museum really since I believe food is art and lord, THIS food. With a menu like this it was tough to choose but I could not have asked for anything better than these beets and butternut squash soup in this bonkers January weather. I love a savory yogurt, they nailed it here, really every ingredient was used so smartly these people just know how to put a plate together. Ill be honest the tuna sandwich didnt blow me out of the water. It was just okay. But the bread was unbelievable, which of course it was, because this BAKERY. That little green ray of heaven you see pictured there is a ParisBrest A La Pistache and when I tell you it rocked my world people it rocked my world. We went back the next day to get another and Im gonna be tearing my way through the rest of their patisserie menu. I didnt catch the name of our waitress but she was a beautiful human being, just one of those fabulous caring people that you just want to throw your arms around and thank for making you think the world might be alright. I didnt get good pictures of the interior but the actual space is stunning, very tasteful, natural light and all that, we sat by the window and watched the snow fall. Great spot all around. Glad I found another gem. ”

“ Frenchette Bakery is both a bakery and cafe by chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson located at the Whitney Museum. At the bakery, one can pick up viennoiserie, individual pastries, baguettes, sandwiches and coffee. Or one can sit at the cafe to a meal with a fine menu that includes duck confit and rotisserie chicken. This is the second location of this fine bakery from these two chefs. I had a single shot Cortado, a croissant au Jambon with Gruyere. a croustillant with hibiscus and and a packet of Bouchons. Small high tables with stools are located outside to eat and leave. Lingering is not encouraged. The food was tasty but a touch expensive. ”

“ Lovely and cosy atmosphere, delicious and fresh foods, very welcoming staff. I really like the style of the handsome man at the reception. How delicious can a scone possibly be? This was, without exaggeration, the best scone Ive ever had in my life. Thank you. ”

“ Lunch with friends visiting from Munich. Had a reservation, got there 10 minutes early but was seared by myself waiting no your party has to be complete to be seated. Very nice many even for a pescatarian like me. Not exactly a bargain. Lunch is easily 25 or 30 for the main dish. But the food is good and the atmosphere is lovely. I am partial to natural night at lunch and Frenchette Bakery is flooded with natural light. The service was solid from the host to the busboy. ”

“ I dined for lunch alone a few weeks ago and enjoyed my experience. The server recommended I try the French Hot Chocolate and it was incredible. I also had a onion flatbread that was also very tasty. The service was excellent. Host, server and management were all outstanding and friendly. ”

“ Fantastic late lunch. For vegetarians, often there arent too many options but here it was hard to choose what to pick. The cauliflower was delicious, as was the dandelion salad. Gnocchi are outstanding. And the bread! Although desert was not strictly necessary after all that food, its such a treat. Highly recommend. ”
